In keeping with Washington State Law RCW28A.210.260 and 28A.210.270 the school may not administer any internal medicine of any kind (including aspirin, cough drops, or any over the counter medication) to any student unless the office has received written permission signed by a physician or dentist.
If a student needs to take medicine during the school day, the properly labeled medicine must be sent to the school office with a completed AUTHORIZATION FOR ADMINISTRATION OF MEDICATION AT SCHOOL FORM, available in the office or at the back of this handbook. |
